What moves you? The Ride for Refuge is a family-friendly fundraising bike + walk in support of local charities serving people seeking hope, safety, and freedom. Join us Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026!
Reception House provides assistance to newly arrived refugees and newcomers in the Waterloo Region. We have welcomed and supported thousands of clients since 1987.
We are committed to helping newcomers settle successfully in the Waterloo Region by providing temporary accommodations, orientation to life in Canada, and access to health care. As our newest neighbours begin to integrate into the community, we support them in finding meaningful employment and accessing mental health services, essential steps in healing from loss and trauma.
Now, more than ever, we need your support to help us make health services more accessible to our clients. Waterloo Region is at its strongest when we come together to offer a warm welcome to those starting a new life here. And with help from people like you, we know we can ensure every refugee has an opportunity for successful resettlement.
Ride with us, on October 3rd, in the Ride for Refuge and help build a community where every newcomer feels welcomed, supported, and empowered to thrive.
