The RIDE is a family-friendly fundraising ride/walk where we gather for local charities that support people who are seeking hope, safety, + freedom all across Canada. Join us Saturday, Oct 4, 2025!
At Youth Unlimited YFC Novar, a program of Highlands Youth for Christ, we’re committed to mentoring youth and helping them thrive—building strong relationships, identity, and purpose. Currently, we operate just one day a week out of a township-shared space, but our vision is bigger.
With your help through the Ride for Refuge, we’re raising funds to rent a dedicated space so we can run life-changing programs five days a week. This expansion will allow us to teach hands-on entrepreneurial skills like small engine repair, carpentry, bike maintenance, and even running a chip hut—offering youth valuable tools for confidence, connection, and future success.
Join the Ride. Change a Life. Rally with us to support youth in Novar and help create a space where they can grow, learn, and lead.
We will be gathering at the Garage at this location. To advertise the location we are trying to get so that we can convert it into a youth Center. So that we can provide enterprise programing such as carpentry, small engines and bike repair, food truck, electrical, study groups, mentorship, substance abuse programing, and community serve, Table soup kitchen hub.
This has been a big dream of all of the leaders and the youth. So that the ideas that the youth have and the desire to have something that they can be part of and make a difference in the community and call their own. Is all starting to gain a lot of traction. The funds from this fundraiser will be put towards the rent and opening of the building and to programing. This will give us a better time come along side of the youth that are in need in the community. Providing "safe spaces" within which to build trusting relationships with caring adults using areas of common interest as a catalyst.
