About NDG Community Council

The NDG Community Council is a non-profit organisation committed to improving the quality of life for all Notre-Dame-de-Grâce residents, with a focus on supporting the most vulnerable. This year, we're thrilled to join the Ride for Refuge for the first time on October 4th at 3 PM—and we're doing it our way, with two routes: one for walking and one for cycling!

This year, the NDG Community Council is taking part in the Ride for Refuge to support the fight against food insecurity in our neighbourhood. Too many residents still struggle to put healthy, regular meals on the table. Together, we can change that.

Our goal? To fund collective actions that improve access to quality food, complementing the services that already exist.

Because a strong neighbourhood is one where no one is left hungry.

Join us in this beautiful act of community solidarity!

  • A cell phone for emergencies (recommended but not required)
  • Your bike and helmet or walking shoes
  • Extra snacks if you have allergies or food sensitivities
  • Your own water bottle
  • Warm layers with moisture-repelling clothing. Early October weather can be cool, with rain and wind. The weather might also be gorgeous and sunny. So be sure to keep your eye on the forecast.
  • A passion for the charity you're fundraising for!
