Our mandate is to empower victims and survivors of violence and their families break the cycle of abuse by providing shelter and on-going support services, as well as public awareness and prevention programs.

Our mission is to help women and children transition from crisis to empowerment by providing safe housing, education, and one-on-one support.

This year, you can stand with survivors by joining the Ride for Refuge in support of Crossroads for Women. Whether you choose to sign up to ride or walk, or make a donation, your support helps us continue to provide vital, life-saving services to women and children escaping violence. Together, we can help women and children transition from crisis to empowerment.

  • A cell phone for emergencies (recommended but not required)
  • Your bike and helmet or walking shoes
  • Extra snacks if you have allergies or food sensitivities
  • Your own water bottle
  • Warm layers with moisture-repelling clothing. Early October weather can be cool, with rain and wind. The weather might also be gorgeous and sunny. So be sure to keep your eye on the forecast.
