  • Rest Stops: There will be one rest stop on each route with yummy snacks and drinks.
  • Signage: Routes will be well-signed with our bold orange RIDE signs.
  • Route Support: Route marshals, rest stop hosts, and support vehicle drivers will provide support along the route.
  • 12 and under participants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

What to Bring

A few common sense suggestions:

  • A cell phone for emergencies (recommended but not required)
  • Your bike and helmet or walking shoes
  • Extra snacks if you have allergies or food sensitivities
  • Your own water bottle
  • Warm layers with moisture-repelling clothing. Early October weather can be cool, with rain and wind. The weather might also be gorgeous and sunny. So be sure to keep your eye on the forecast.
  • A passion for the charity you're walking and fundraising for!

About Christians Against Poverty

Christians Against Poverty Canada reaches out to some of the most vulnerable members of our society in partnership with the local church.

We are passionate about lifting people out of debt and poverty through our outstanding debt help service as well as through our simple budgeting course - the CAP Money Course. We started in the UK in 1996 when John Kirkby gave up his successful career in consumer finance to help people out of misery and poverty associated with unmanageable debt.

The Ride For Refuge will give us the springboard we need to see new Debt Centres open, and continue the rapid expansion of the CAP Money course so that more communities are impacted by the love and care of the local church!
