What moves you? Join us on Saturday, October 1, 2022 for the Ride for Refuge, a family-friendly bike + walk fundraiser supporting local charities who help people seeking refuge from danger, hardship, and abuse.
Since 2006 Micah House has welcomed and housed well over 1200 refugee claimants who have made our small residence their first Canadian home!
Our program relies on several critical elements including a healthy, beautiful residence and, expert staff. Your support will help us develop both facility and personnel.
Lets work together to bring peace, trust and hope at this pivotal life-stage for newly arrived refugee claimants. Lets welcome people to this country in the name of Jesus Christ.
If you would like to hear more please call Scott at 905-296-4387 EXTENSION 3.
Micah House is so grateful to partner with long-time supporter, Westdale Reformed Church, for this years' Ride for Refuge. Westdale is making us welcome in their beautiful facility, positioned perfectly for both our participating walkers and cyclists. This is both the start and the finish for all routes. There is ample parking and access to washrooms.
This cycling route takes riders along the beautiful Hamilton Harbour Waterfront Trail and loops through Bayfront Park and back along the trail. Loop twice for 20km
This walking route is a nice easy stroll through the beautiful Westdale neighbourhood alongside Churchill Park.
The 1st part of this route follows the 2.5km route, then veers off onto the lovely Princess Point hiking trail for those that are a bit more adventurous. This second loop is not wheelchair accessible.
