St. Margaret's Bay Rails To Trails (across the street from St. Luke's United Church).
You can park at
5374 St. Margaret's Bay Road
then come on inside for Registration!
Now, head across the street (look both ways!) where you'll be sent off with a smile!
All event parking should be at the church - not the trail head or Bike & Bean. Washrooms for our use are at the church and the 2 farthest rest stops. Please don't use Bike & Bean as their septic tank cannot handle all of us.
Remember this is a public trail. Don't hog it! Stay to the right to let others pass. Give walkers notice of your approach--use your bike bell if you have one, otherwise, just holler "Hello!"
Here's the schedule for the RIDE:
We always have a great BBQ lunch for our riders and volunteers and welcome you to linger and enjoy. There are no guarantees of how much food will be left after 2:00pm. Please note we are NOT serving pork at the BBQ.
Warning: We are not able to accommodate for food sensitivities/allergies. If you have a dietary restriction, bring along some extra food/snacks. We can throw your veggie burger on the BBQ for you!
For those who choose to pay the non-refundable registration fee, the cost is $25 before September 25th or $40 after September 25th.

5km WALK--Not everyone has a bike, or a way to transport a bike. But almost all of us walk! Bring the family, and come out for a stroll along the beautiful St. Margaret's Bay Trail! Or, if you prefer, you can sprint the trail, Usain Bolt style!
10km--This shorter jaunt is for newbie riders, families with younger kids, and friends who recently had their knees replaced. You will have the FRUIT STOP, with fresh fruit and water!
25km--This is the main RIDE. The turnaround point is our Halfway Cafe, complete with porta-potty and look-off for the perfect selfie spot!
50km--The Psycho Cyclists Route. These brave riders will turn after spending a few minutes at our Tailgate Party Rest Stop!
All riders 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
September can be cool, with rain and wind. The weather might also be gorgeous and sunny. Be sure to keep your eye on the forecast.
RIDE or WALK with us on September 30th!
Join us in the 5th annual Ride Or Walk For Refuge! Together we will raise funds to help serve up to 220 hot, nutritious meals every day. BIKE or WALK with us to help the hungry, homeless and hurting of Halifax with food, clothing, counselling and cheer. The Rescue Mission has indeed become a refuge for our Halifax and Bridgewater neighbours in need. This year is extra special because we are raising money to fund our LIFE Recovery Home! Become a #SoulsHarbour Hero and RIDE or WALK with us!
