About North Simcoe Victim Services

North Simcoe Victim Services (NSVS) provides assistance for victims of crime, intimate partner violence, human trafficking, sudden death, tragic circumstance, or disaster; 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Offering emotional support and practical assistance, NSVS is a community-based charitable organization where specially-trained volunteers help with a victim’s immediate needs and provide referrals to existing community services if longer-term care is required.

North Simcoe Victim Services receives partial funding from the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services and relies on donations when it comes to supporting our clients. Your donation would go towards the following:

Transportation arrangements

Addressing safety concerns and safety equipment

Home and Safety Repairs

Personal Security devices

Cell phones

Counselling services

Emergency Accommodation

Food security support

Basic necessities

Crime scene clean up

And more!

A monetary gift to NSVS means you will be helping victims within your community receive the short- and long-term support they need.

For more information on ways to support and donate to the important work being done by NSVS contact:

THANK YOU for your generous support!

What to Bring

A few common sense suggestions:

  • A cell phone for emergencies (recommended but not required)
  • Your bike and helmet or walking shoes
  • Extra snacks if you have allergies or food sensitivities
  • Your own water bottle
  • Warm layers with moisture-repelling clothing. Early October weather can be cool, with rain and wind. The weather might also be gorgeous and sunny. So be sure to keep your eye on the forecast.
  • A passion for the charity you're fundraising for!
