What moves you? Join us on Saturday, October 1, 2022 for the Ride for Refuge, a family-friendly bike + walk fundraiser supporting refugee claimants who arrive in Windsor-Essex seeking safety and a fresh start.
“Home is where your story begins.” That statement could not be more true for the men, women and children who arrive at Matthew House each year seeking safety and a fresh start. Matthew House becomes home and family, helping them begin to write new life stories.
Since 2003, we have provided a safe and welcoming first home, settlement supports and connection to community for refugee claimants who would have otherwise ended up in homeless shelters and struggled to start their new lives in Canada.
As one former refugee said, “Matthew House gave me my first Home in Canada, but they also gave me hope that my children and I could have a great future.”
The need is growing and we need your help to ensure every refugee has a place to call home, and the support they need to heal and get established in our community.
Join us for the ride and help provide Home and Hope for refugee claimants as they begin to write new life stories.
