Waivers

All participants should register online.

  • Adults accept the waiver automatically when they register online.

What to Bring

A few common sense suggestions:

  • A cell phone for emergencies (recommended but not required)
  • Your bike and helmet or walking shoes
  • Extra snacks if you have allergies or food sensitivities
  • Your own water bottle
  • Warm layers with moisture-repelling clothing. Late September weather can be cool, with rain and wind. The weather might also be gorgeous and sunny. So be sure to keep your eye on the forecast.
  • A passion for the charity you're walking and fundraising for!

Handling Money

  • Credit Card: The Best Option! Simple, secure, automatically tax receipted for gifts of $20+. Visit the Donate page, share your personal page link, or have your donor call the RIDE Head Office.
  • Cheques: The Old Faithful - made out to Ride for Refuge with your name on the Memo line. Mail them to RIDE Head Office along with your completed pledge form.
  • Cash: You have 2 options:
  • 1. Login to FundHub, click “Enter $$ and Cheques,” create pledges for your cash donations, pay them off with your personal credit card, and keep the cash. OR...
  • 2. Write a cheque (made out to “Ride for Refuge”) for the total amount of cash you’ve collected. Mail it to the RIDE Head Office with your completed pledge sheet.

About SEEDS

A new story for sex-trafficking survivors

SEEDS Program is a holistic approach to restoration. Survivors, who have had everything stolen from them, get the stability and rest they need to dream again! While in our program, survivors are equipped with the wrap around services and resources they need to be transformed. They can also accomplish goals they never knew were possible to tackle – things like getting their GED, reconnecting with their children and family, getting their driver’s license, and even learning to swim. A new story for sex-trafficking survivors

SEEDS provides a home and program where women receive a personalized education plan, medical aid, trauma therapy, job placement, case management, and restorative services. They also have the opportunity to build healthy and safe relationships that will follow them into their final stage of the program. The final stage is where survivors receive individualized planning and assistance with living independently, career goals, and continued support. SEEDS is there with them every step of the way through their transformation!

SEEDS is not a crisis center or shelter but is a long-term solution for 18+ survivors of sex trafficking and/or exploitation. If a survivor is ready to start a new life outside of what they have known, SEEDS is the perfect place to start.
