What moves you? Join us on October 2, 2021 for the Ride for Refuge, a family-friendly cycling and walking fundraiser that supports charities who provide refuge and hope for displaced, vulnerable, and exploited people everywhere.
Reception House provides assistance to newly arrived refugees in the Waterloo Region. Reception House has welcomed and supported thousands of refugees since 1987.
We start by providing the basics: temporary accommodations, orientations to life in Canada and down the line, we empower our clients to find meaningful employment, improve their language skills’ and heal from trauma and loss. Through referrals, case management and capacity building, our goal is that all refugees arriving in Waterloo Region have a successful settlement experience, and become accepted and welcomed members of the community.
Settlement and integration are a two-way street. As a community member, you have a part to play! Ride with us this Fall and help create a welcoming community for all! We need you now, more than ever.
