The mission of New Hope is to provide housing and resettlement services for refugees and vulnerable immigrants. While doing this, New Hope builds community and connection among newcomers and established Canadians. New Hope was created in 2004 by a small group of caring people who saw refugees and immigrants struggling to find safe, affordable housing and a community that would welcome them in. For the past 10 years New Hope has supported the vulnerable and displaced through transitional housing, life skills training, mentorship, and referrals to other organizations, but the thing that makes New Hope unique is the relationships that are built with and among immigrants and established Canadians.
In January 2016 we opened a 13 unit multi family apartment building in Surrey. We are pleased to have 10 refugee families living in community with 3 long term Canadian families. .It is amazing to see the progress that New Canadians make when living with love, support and guidance.
