With Teams in: Vancouver, RIDE Anywhere
The RIDE will happen as scheduled on Saturday, October 3, 2020! However, Covid-related health risks and operational challenges won't permit us to assemble in large groups. So instead, we'll gather virtually, self-organizing in smaller, covid-friendly teams or groups as permitted.
Let's keep our RIDE location communities going! Register for the same RIDE location as last year - or, if you are new, register in a location you're within an hour of.
Building Assets ( BA ) helps local communities in Shan and Karen State, Burma, affected by conflict transform their lives through education.
Conflict so often destroys the right to education- and in so doing increases the likelihood of poverty, social division and contributes to increased inequality. Every girl should have the right to education, although today an estimated 130 million girls around the world are not in school.
By participating in the 2020 RIDE campaign, not only will you create greater awareness of the plight of girl children affected by conflict- but also provide hope and a safe and peaceful environment for girl children to study in addition to urgently needed scholarships for youth to attend higher education. By providing a safe learning environment, girl children will be less vulnerable to trafficking, sexual violence, being conscripting into the military or forced into early marriages.
