About Africa Inland Mission (AIM)

Africa Inland Mission+))AIM has been in existence since 1895 serving the needs of Africans in over 20 African countries.

“The Least of These” provides medical outreach in rural northern Kenya, within the Samburu tribe and surrounding Kurungu village. These nomadic people often have no other access to medical care. With emphasis on assisting the most vulnerable- widows, orphans, children and the medically fragile, the goal is to improve mortality and morbidity rates.

The Least of These also provides care for tuberculosis positive patients and their families as well as those at risk for TB, through education, medical tests, health surveillance, food, and medicine supplements.

Now in its 5th year, the project has assisted countless patients with prosthetic limbs and fitted shoes, famine relief for widows and orphans, as well as sending patients to hospitals for surgical interventions for cleft palates, shunt insertions for hydrocephalus and burn injuries.

Follow up care is provided by a part time local community health worker who visits, encourages and cares for the needs of patients.

Weekly requests for assistance are received. The funds raised through Ride for Refuge will enable even more needy people receive the care they desperately need.
