Come out for a day of Love, Sweat and Gears in Austin on February 8th, 2014! Participate in the RIDE and know that you're doing something huge -- cycling to help those who are displaced, vulnerable and exploited. Feel free to browse the tabs below for more information.
We'll have three different routes on February 8th, and each route was designed to be approachable and fun for riders at various levels. All routes will start and end at Yellow Bike Project (1216 Webberville Rd).
Here's the schedule for the RIDE:
7:30am - Registration opens
8:45am - Opening Ceremonies & Welcome (38 & 60 mile routes)
9:00am - RIDE begins (35 & 60 mile routes)
9:45am - Welcome for 10 mile route
10:00am - RIDE begins (10 mile route)
2:00pm - Routes closed
We always have a great lunch for our riders and volunteers and welcome you to linger and enjoy. Breakfast will be available at 7:00am with food, drinks, and music available starting at 11:30am.

CHECK-IN: All riders must check-in and sign a waiver form
Riders aged 17 and under must have a parent or guardian sign their waiver or bring in a pre-signed waiver form. Download waiver form from the TOOLS tab at left.
REGISTRATION FEE A reg fee of $25 may apply
Riders aged 13 or older who have not successfully raised their minimum fundraising level ($75 for 13-17 year olds and $150 for aged 18 and up), will be asked to pay a registration fee of $25. This fee goes to pay local ride day expenses like lunch, signage, rentals etc.
MONEY & CHECKS: Post all of your cash and check donations online
Login to your personal fundraising page and post all cash and check donations online. Bring all cash to registration check in. Print off the the MY RESULTS FORM to bring with you.
If you haven't posted your cash & check donations online please ensure that you've carefully and neatly written in all your donor information onto a paper Pledge Sheet to ensure proper receipting and partner allocation.
Please ensure all checks are made payable to Ride for Refuge and current dated.
For those who raise their minimum fundraising amount you are eligible for our RIDE T-shirt while supplies last. Check out all the details in the ABOUT section at left.

What to Bring
February can be cool, with a little rain and wind certainly possible.
Wear layers, some moisture repelling clothes, and if rain is forecasted, a rain jacket, gloves, and even some bags to keep your feet dry during your ride. Of course, we predict it will be a beautiful fall day with no wind and plenty of sunshine, so keep an eye on the weather forecast as Ride Day approaches.
