Since 1989, oneROOF Youth Services has been committed to providing for the safety, support, and overall wellbeing of youth who are homeless or at risk aged 12-25, in Waterloo Region.
Our objective is to maintain the health/safety of youth who are homeless or at risk by providing resources/services that will allow them to make positive choices to end the cycle of homelessness.
Our programs/services are based on unconditional, positive regard and harm reduction strategies.
In 2018, oneROOF Youth Services worked with 584 youth, and provided over 24,000 meals, 1,580 food hampers, 5,406 beds were occupied in the 17 bed co-ed emergency shelter.
oneROOF Youth Services provides support via Outreach Services, Family Reconnect Worker, Housing Support and Host Home Coordinators. Programs and services assist with building Life Skills, provision of Crisis Counselling, Individual Support, Referrals and more.
oneROOF Youth Services believes that "One youth on the street is one too many."
